COOKIE POLICY

Version: 1.0

Last Updated: 30.06.2026

Effective Date: 30.06.2026

1Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains how GitSec Ltd ("GitSec") uses cookies and similar technologies when Customers access or use the Services.

This Cookie Policy should be read together with the GitSec Privacy Policy.

2What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on a device when visiting a website or using online services. Cookies help websites function properly, remember user preferences, enhance security, and provide information about how the Services are used.

GitSec may also use similar technologies, including pixels, local storage, and software development kits ("SDKs"), where applicable.

3Types of Cookies We Use

GitSec uses different categories of cookies depending on whether a Customer is accessing the GitSec website or the Customer Panel.

4GitSec Website

The GitSec website uses the following categories of cookies:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies, which support essential website functionality, security, bot protection, content delivery, and session management.
  • Analytics Cookies, which help GitSec understand website traffic, visitor behaviour, and website performance.

The GitSec website currently uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for website analytics and Cloudflare for security and content delivery services.

5Customer Panel

The Customer Panel uses only cookies that are necessary for the operation of the Services.

These include:

  • Strictly Necessary Cookies, used for authentication, account security, and session management.
  • Functional Cookies, used to remember Customer preferences, such as language settings.

The Customer Panel does not use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies.

Where Google reCAPTCHA is used to protect authentication pages against automated abuse, Google may place the _GRECAPTCHA cookie as part of its security services.

6Third-Party Cookies

GitSec may use trusted third-party services that place or manage cookies on behalf of GitSec. These may include:

  • Cloudflare, for website security, bot protection, and content delivery.
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4), for website analytics.
  • Google reCAPTCHA, to protect authentication pages against automated abuse.

GitSec does not control third-party cookies and recommends reviewing the applicable privacy and cookie policies of such providers.

7Managing Cookies

Customers may manage non-essential cookies through the cookie banner and preference settings made available on the GitSec website, where applicable.

The Customer Panel currently uses only strictly necessary and functional cookies required for the operation and security of the Services. As these cookies are essential to provide the Services requested by the Customer, they cannot be disabled through cookie preference settings.

Customers may also control cookies through their browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies may affect the availability or functionality of the Services. Customers may withdraw or modify their cookie preferences at any time through the Cookie Preference Centre, where available.

GitSec may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Any changes will become effective upon publication on the GitSec website, unless otherwise stated.
